We need volunteers to fill the following positions - we have included some information about the roles of the position and expected time commitment.
The Treasurer shall receive all monies paid to the Blues and be responsible for the deposit of same in whatever Bank, Trust Company, Credit Union or Treasury Branch the Executive may order. He/she shall properly account for the funds of the Blues and keep such books as may be directed and disburse funds as required. He/she shall present a full detailed account of receipts and disbursements to the Board whenever requested and shall prepare for submission to the Annual General Meeting a statement duly audited of the financial position of the Blues and submit a copy of same to the Secretary for the records of the Blues. The signing authorities of the financial accounts will be any two of the following: President, Vice President and Treasurer.
Expected time commitment: 20-30 hours in total over the course of 12 months. An accounting background for this position is ideal but not required. The acting Treasurer will provide all information and background to ensure a smooth transition.
Division Director(s) shall be responsible for the organization and oversight of the evaluation process in their respective divisions and assist with securing qualified individuals to coach. He/She will be the first point of contact in resolving concerns within their divisions and be responsible for growing the game by maintaining regular communication with membership through their divisional webpages.
Expected time commitment: 10-15 hours total over the course of a full season. Majority of the time is spent at the start of the year to ensure teams are ready for the season. No prior experience required - training will be provided.
Ice breaker Coordinator shall be responsible for the organization and oversight of the Ice Breaker Tournament, currently scheduled for late April 2022. The Coordinator will be responsible for allocating tasks amongst the committee and will have overall responsibility for the administration of the tournament.
Ice Breaker Committee members will assist the coordinator in organizing various aspects of the tournament (ie: team coordination, registration, volunteer signup, etc...).
Expected time commitment: 10-12 hours between now and the tournament start for the coordinator and 8 hours for committee members. No prior experience required - training will be provided.
