Hello Blues families,
We are excited to announce that registration for the 2023 spring box season is now open! There will be plenty more information forthcoming from the GELC on play format but here is what we can tell you today:
Registration fees:
An initial non-refundable payment of $50 is due upon registration.
There will be 3 subsequent, equal payments - March 15, April 15, and May 15 - to cover the balance of your registration fee. Once these payments are processed, as long as the season is continuing on, they are non-refundable. Further payments will not be charged if restrictions are reintroduced or the season is cancelled.
Programming Start:
This will be dependent on how many people register with the Blues, how soon we can secure fields and how government restrictions affect participation. We are in the planning stages of some 'Come Try It' and conditioning camps and will notify our members as soon as we have the details worked out.
League Play:
The GELC is planning league play to begin as a "normal" season. As for what that means, please stay tuned!
We want to assure you that we take the health and safety of our players and volunteers very seriously. As such we will be following AHS and ALA guidelines very closely to ensure the best possible environment for everyone.
We will continue to post updates on our website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Please share these posts with anyone you know that has played lacrosse in the past or might be interested.

** There is a $100 reduction to the above fees at ALL category levels for anyone who is new to the game of lacrosse! Anyone registering who has never played organized lacrosse before is eligible to receive this discount. On the registration page, select the "new player" option for your age category and the reduced fee will be automatically calculated.
IMPORTANT NOTE: An additional 3% fee will be levied on credit card payments. Credit card fees have become a large expense for the organization and therefore the executive has passed a motion to recover this cost. You can still pay your fees through an Interac e-transfer - there is no fee for using this payment method. If you choose to pay using this method, please make sure you indicate your child's name in the "comments" section of your Interac payment.
