Volunteer Information

To help ensure the smooth operation of the West Edmonton Blues Lacrosse Club, each family is required to complete a volunteer commitment for the 2026 season.

A $100 Volunteer Commitment Fee is collected at registration. This fee acts as a refundable deposit and will be returned once the volunteer requirement has been completed and verified.

Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the season at both the Club and Team levels.

What Qualifies as Club-Level Volunteer Hours?

Examples include:

• Board Member
• Divisional Director
• Volunteer Coordinator
• Pre-season equipment distribution
• Post-season equipment return and reconciliation
• Storage organization
• A-Team evaluation assistance (check-in support)
• Attendance at the AGM
• Other club-wide initiatives as needed

What Qualifies as Team-Level Volunteer Hours?

Examples include:

• Head Coach
• Assistant Coach (up to 3 per team)
• Team Manager
• Jersey Parent
• Shot Clock / Game Clock / Game Sheet
  (Must complete a minimum of 4 games)
• Photo Day Liaison
• Fundraising Parent

How Do I Sign Up?

Once teams are formed, your Team Manager will communicate volunteer needs.

Club-wide opportunities will also be posted on the website as they become available.

How Do I Report My Volunteer Commitment?

After completing your volunteer requirement, please fill out the Volunteer Commitment Verification - 2026 form on the website.

You will be required to provide:

• Parent/Guardian Name
• Player Name
• Team
• Volunteer Role Completed
• Confirmation contact (e.g., Team Manager)

Once verified, your $100 deposit will be refunded.

What Happens If I Do Not Complete My Commitment?

If the volunteer requirement is not fulfilled during the current season, the $100 volunteer fee will not be refunded.

Volunteer commitments apply to the current season only and do not carry forward.
